Sana is an Artwork installation. 

Winning competition of Misk Art institute through Fa’n’na program. 

Installation build based on Research.

•It’s quite interesting how human surroundings can profoundly impact their lives, whether they realize it or not. They react and respond with their behavior and characteristics; at times, self reflect and challenge their perspectives.

•Abdullah demonstrates through his installation a personal story that proves how the artist has been influenced by the architecture and design that surrounded him as a child. His father designed their home, which played the most significant role in Abdullah’s life. The artist viewed the house as a barrier to light and nature. This notion pushed his interest in exploring the sociological connection to architecture. The house was embellished with handcrafted screens made by Abdullah’s father. They acted as separators that manipulated the sunlight percentage entering the house. The artist admired the screen’s meticulous details. It was the environment he was brought up in that gave him the tools to self reflect and Observe. His understanding of how design and architecture affect humans in a deeply manner shaped his mindset. Each screen in the installation represents a timeline of stepping moments in Abdullah’s life. The first screen represents the artist’s domestic sphere growing up with refined craftsmanship and overall carries a dark mood that mimics a phase the artist’s lived through. The second screen mirrors a vital turning point, the shift of perspective where the artist realized that the screens are the source of an emotional challenge that led him to escape darkness and lean towards the light, which leads us to the last screen that is drenched with bright light.

•S’a’na, which means a bright light in Arabic, symbolizessunlight. The artist’s attachment to sunlight signifies the his deep emotional connection to his surroundings. Abdullah invites the spectators to explore the journey of S’a’na and take a moment at the energy light source created by the artist, which symbolizesthe sunlight and self reflect. His personal experience of self-awareness pushed Abdullah to rethink, leading to a positive impact.

من المثير للاهتمام ُعمق تأثير البيئة المحيطة على حياة البشر ، سواء أدركوا ذلك أم لا. فهم يتفاعلون ويستجيبون بتصرفاتهم وصفاتهم؛ في بعض الأحيان، تعكس الذات وتتحدى وجهات نظرهم.

 يستعرض عبدالله خلال مجسمه الفني قصة شخصية تثبت كيفية تأثر الفنان بالهندسة المعمارية والتصميم الذي أحاط به وهو طفل. قام والد عبدالله بتصميممنزلهم ممالعبدوًرامهًمافيحياته.نظر الفنانإلىالمنزل كجدار حاجز للضوء والطبيعة. دفع هذا المفهوم اهتمامه في استكشاف العلاقة الاجتماعية للعمارة. كان المنزل مزيًنا بشبابيك مصنوعة يدوًيا من والد عبد الله. كانوا بمثابة فواصل تؤثر في نسبة أشعة الشمس التي تدخل المنزل. ُأعجب الفنان بتفاصيل الشبابيك الدقيقة. أعطته البيئة التي نشأ فيها الأدوات اللازمة للتعبير عن الذات والتأمل. كما أن فهمه لكيفية تأثير التصميم والهندسة المعمارية على البشر على نحو عميق شكل له

طريقة تفكيره. 

ُتمثل كل شباك في المجسم تسلسلاً زمنًيا للحظات متدرجة من حياة عبد الله. يمثل الشباك الأول المحيط الداخلي للفنان حيث يكبر مع حرفية دقيقة ويحمل بشكل عام طابع مظلم يحاكي مرحلة عاشها الفنان. يعكس الشباك الثاني نقطة تحول أساسية، وهي تحول المنظور حيث أدرك الفنان أن الشبابيك هو مصدر تحد عاطفي أدى به إلى الهروب من الظلام والميلنحو الضوء، مما يقودنا إلى الشاشة الأخيرة المليئة بالضوء الساطع.

سَنَـــــــــا، مما يعني الضوء الساطع باللغة العربية ، و ترمز إلى ضوء الشمس. يدل ارتباط الفنان بأشعة الشمس على ارتباطه العاطفي العميق بمحيطه. يدعو عبد الله الحضور لاستكشاف رحلة سَنَـــــــــا وعيش لحظة في مصدر ضوء الطاقة الذي قام به الفنان, حيث يرمز إلى أشعة الشمس وانعكاس الذات. 

تجربة عبدالله الشخصية في الوعي الذاتي دفعته إلى إعادة التفكير ، مؤدية إلى تأثير إيجابي.
